About our products

Q: How long is the expiration date?
A: The expiration date is displayed on the barcode label on the back of our products. Please refer to the following for details.
Standard expiration date (number of days from the manufacturing date)
Steamed buns(steamed buns with meat filling etc.) 8 days (refrigerated) in summer, 10 day in winter.
Siumai 7 days (refrigerated) all year round.
Moon cake 20 days (room temperature) all year round
Q: If there is any allergy-provoking food, is this noted in the menu?
A: You can check them on the barcode label on the back of our products. Allergy specified raw ingredients: 5 items which we are obligated, and 20 items which are recommended to display. These are all indicated whenever present in a product.
Q: How should I preserve your products?
A: You can check the storage method on the barcode label on the back of our products. Please store "steamed bun/dim sum/siumai" in a refrigerator (below 10C), and confectioneries, such as moon cakes and tea at moderately cool room temperature.
Q: Do your products contain any preservatives, such as antiseptic agents ?
A: No preservative is used.
Q: Do you use chemical seasonings?
A: No chemical seasonings are used. We use only the naturally-derived, additive-free seasonings.
Q: Can I cook steamed buns and siumai in a microwave?
A: "The best way of tasting" is also indicated on the individual packaging of our products. Using a steaming basket (steamer) if possible, please steam the product so that the core of the becomes very hot. If you are using your microwave, please use the special microwave steamer and sprinkle a suitable amount of water on the product before heating. Since the heated steamed buns harden easily, please eat it soon.
Q: Can I eat steamed buns as is?
A: Please be sure to steam and consume once the package is opened. The soft texture, rich taste, and aroma can be enjoyed by heating the product.
Q: Can I freeze steamed bun with meat filling and siumai ?
A: Due to the nature of the product and since no freezing additives are used, if steamed buns with meat filling and siumai are frozen, there will be a change in the flavor. After steaming, please consume it within the expiration date. When the product is frozen, please do not thaw but steam it until its core becomes hot enough to eat.

Q: Can I specify the delivery date of my order?
A: May be prespecified. When payments are made through bank transfer, we will confirm your desired delivery date and ship the items after confirmation of payment.
Q: Can I specify the delivery time?
A: May be prespecified. You may prespecify in time zones of 2 hours in the morning and in the afternoon.
Q: Which courier do you use?
A: We use Yamato Transport Co., Ltd. (Koromiko Yamato). However, for some areas, we ship using the postal office (Yu-pack). In such cases, please be aware that collect service cannot be used.
Q: What is the shipping cost?
A: Shipping costs will vary by the purchase amount as follows.

Q: What is the commission?

The handling commission for a COD 315 yen for purchases of less than 8,000 yen
The handling commission for a CVS payment 270 yen for purchases of less than 8,000 yen
The handling commission for bank transfers It depends on each bank's arrangement
However, in cases of purchases of 8,000 yen or more, there is no handling commission for CODs and CVS payments.
Q: Once an order is placed, how long does it take to arrive?
A: It depends on the date and time of the order, the form of payment, and the destination. The products of Manchinro are handmade and manufactured upon receipt of the order. When payment confirmation is made in the morning, your order will be shipped on the following day.
When confirmation of the payment is made in the afternoon, it will be shipped two days later.
The methods of payment are as follows.

For COD payments orders will be shipped on the next day or the 2 days after order confirmation
Q: Can you send it anywhere in Japan?
A: It is possible. However, there are some areas where chilled delivery is not possible, such as isolated islands.

Q: The delivered product is damaged, or has a defect. What should I do?
A: Although we pay careful attention to quality control of our products, in cases of damage or stains, please contact us at the Manchinro mail order department within 2 days of receipt of shipment. We will replace the product or refund after reviewing the situation.
Q: My child has eaten the deoxidizer. Is he/she OK?
A: Although the main ingredients of our deoxidizer are iron powder, vitamin C, inorganic salt, natural minerals, etc. and are harmless, please consult with a doctor for precaution.
